Co-operation between universities and business plays a very important role in both the development of public and private sector entities and the development of the country as a whole. EUOB has a strategic goal to establish and develop mutually beneficial co-operation with businesses, public organisations and NGOs. This co-operation is particularly important in terms of providing students with places for internships during their studies and obtaining employment after graduation. EUOB is also interested in creating and implementing programmes within the so-called dual studies. The essence of dual studies is linking higher education with business. The Ministry’s Constitution for Science defines dual studies as a type of alternate education, in which the employer participates, in addition to the university. Part of the learning outcomes is obtained through the student’s work in the company.

EUOB also focuses on inter-university co-operation, especially with foreign partners. The aim of foreign co-operation is to enable students to complete an internship or part of their programme of studies abroad, and university employees – to take advantage of scientific exchange and joint research. Currently, EUOB has a programme articulation agreement with the University of Hertfordshire in the UK and is working on similar agreements with universities in Canada and the U.S.  Articulation is a formal relationship between two programmes, where students begin their degree programme at their own university before transferring to a similar programme at a partner university. Students following this route will be awarded a partner university’s degree on completion of their programme of studies, as well as their own institution’s diploma. Another form of co-operation currently under consideration is obtaining validation of EUOB programmes by a renowned foreign university in order to enable students to obtain a degree granted by that university.
